My sister gave me a gift card to Paper Source for my birthday because she is a beautiful birthday fairy and granter of wishes left unsaid.
While we were looking around, Matty ran to Whole Foods to get himself a snack and a honey-crisp apple for me—and yeah, still can't get over the fact that I asked for that instead of a cookie or an entire ice cream cake.
He walked into Paper Source with my apple and these tulips, because he is also a beautiful birthday fairy and granter of wishes left unsaid.
What followed was pure happenstance and joy. I've always been drawn to the beautiful wrapping paper sheets at Paper Source and other paper boutiques, though admittedly never used them for wrapping. I've tried lots of crafts, from decoupage to envelopes, but this has got to be the most simple idea yet.
Beautiful, right? I have a few more sheets and colors to play around with. Color and play--it's kinda the true meaning of joy in the simple things.
